MJ

You may not know that I'm an excellent dancer, but I am. I love to dance. I have been shaking it to my old friend Michael Jackson for the last few days. I don't feel terribly sad about his death because the Michael I loved has been long gone. Here are some of my favorites.
  • PYT
  • Billie Jean
  • Beat It
  • Thriller
  • Man in the Mirror
  • The Way You Make Me Feel

Idaho Trip Part 2

20-52

This is my great nephew Dallin, he kept eating the sand covered apple and I thought it was adorable.

Kelly, Leslie, Michelle, Courtney, McKenzie, Krista with baby Clara and Teresa. Most of these ladies are my nieces.

Charlie, Spencer, Adam
We had a fun day playing at Eagle Island with all of our extended family.

Girlfriends Kathy and Audra

I had breakfast with my girlfriends. I never seem to get enough time with them. I'm always left wanting more.

Tag

We stayed at my favorite brothers house in Idaho. I had to show you this picture because you can see a little of his house. He designed his home around the game of tag. This picture is taken from the family room. You can see there is a hallway to your left, one in the middle and one to the right. There are two different stairways to the basement. Then finally you have one stairway going upstairs and a fire pole to get down. Thus, many ways to run around and play tag. This is just one of the many games he plays with his kids.
(no this pole is not for dancing, it's for the kids to slide down. Get your mind out of the gutter.)

Charlie mastered it.

Jane needed help getting on but could get down by herself.

Happy Fathers Day

We really miss Dad while we are away from him. Our little Jane asks about him everyday and wants to go back to our own house every night. While we were driving home from Idaho she had a total meltdown. She screamed for about 15 minutes. I called Mike for a little help and he talked to her endlessly. He sang to her for 20 minutes until she fell asleep. That's typical of our sweet Dad.

Idaho Trip - part 1

Idaho part one.

19-52

We rolled into town and stayed with my brother and sister in law. They were great hosts. Hopefully they will forget how much work it was to have us around and they'll allow us to visit again.

On our first full day we went to Grandmas and then visited my sister, Michelle, and her family. Moe and Michelle

Rain Storm

We couldn't resist going out into a rain storm when Natalie was here. When it rains it pours and it is so fun to see it fill the gutters and pour down the street. We like to take advantage of these little moments.

12:30 Tickets

Here is one time that I was glad we weren't where we were supposed to be.

Kimber: "Okay Natalie it's twelve o' clock. We could go and walk around the Holocaust Museum now or we could walk to the Jefferson memorial and catch it on the way back."

Natalie: "Aren't our tickets for 12:30? Let's walk over to the Jefferson memorial and then go to the museum after that."

Good thing we did. Here is my watch as we approach the Holocaust Museum. Quarter to one. We just missed the shooting and arrived to see the people running out of the building. School is still in here so there were a lot of field trips going on but all of the children were safe.

After all of that excitement we just wanted to come home and watch the news. I don't think Natalie will ever forget her trip with me to D.C.

D Money

This is Mr. Damien, he is one of our dearest friends. Five days ago D. Money (that's another name for him) challenged me to post something on my blog every day for a week. I accepted that challenge and then did nothing about it. Ha. Now I have about three days left. We'll see what I can muster up.
We had a little couples Pampered Chef party here. Look at this lovely veggie tray. All put together by another one of my dearest friends, Miss Sumer. Around here the kids all call adults by their first name but just put a Miss or Mister in front of it. I find it a little catchy and end up calling my friends the same thing.

This is Miss Sumer.
Thus, ending my daily blog.
How was that Mr. Damien?

Live In Help (and I'm not returning her)

Mike's niece, Natalie, is here to stay with us for two weeks. We are trying to make sure that she has an enjoyable time while she is here. So far I can't say that we have brought her too much excitement. On her second day here we went to where the battle of Bull Run was fought. Again I think this sort of thing is a little boring because we are really just looking at what I call a cow field. I have some pictures of Natalie helping us pull weeds. Aren't we great hosts?Mike found this weed in our yard. I know it's embarrassing. Things just grow here really fast here.

We had playgroup back at the Seely Farm. I really love going there. They have a large yard and she lets a lot of her animals roam while we are there. The kids had fun chasing the chickens and ducks. One of the baby goats jumped up onto Charlie almost knocking him over. (He laughed of course.) I say it's almost like heaven. Except I'm just a visitor so I don't have to do the daily work.

(18-52) I'm way behindCharlie finally caught one of the ducks he was tormenting and chasing. This was a very proud moment.
