The day finally arrived. We are so happy to welcome Gus into our family. We have had him one whole week and he has been incredibly enjoyable. I was prepared to have a complete meltdown. I've been pleasantly surprised that it really hasn't been that bad. Of course maybe that's because I have a very kind and helpful husband and my sister Debi has been here and done everything. Yeah, that's probably why the transition has been easy. Ask me again when the help is gone and the kids are actually out of school.

| Started out the morning with Mike having to put on this beauty before being aloud in the surgery room. Gotta say it was nice having him wear this since my body has to lay cold and naked on the operating table. We could feel like fools together. |

I love him. I love the delirious time after birth when I can hide out and ignore all other responsibilities, you know, before real life sets back in. He's a keeper and seeing as your story and mine seem similar, be prepared for the fact that he will be your favorite. I mean, the others are still great, but this one? They don't talk back, ignore you or make messes.. yet. They stay where you put them and give you a reason to hide out by yourself every few hours. Bliss. May it last a long time.
I am dying that you found the perfect doctor, he rubs your feet, wears awesome T's. So great! Your little man is just handsome as can be and you are beautiful. Day after birth...gorgeous! I hope that he continues to be a good little bean. Enjoy. We love you!

Little Gus is so so darling and I'm with Aub, you look amazing on day 2! I'm glad you're taking it easy and making the most of your help for a while! Congrats, you guys. He is so handsome and we are so happy for you!
