Project 52

I'm joining the ranks of project 52. I can honestly say that there are very few pictures of me on our computer. I'm always the one running to get the camera. Therefore I am in one of every 100 shots, maybe.
Here's how it works. You take a picture a week of yourself doing something with one or all of your children. So by the end of the year, (I'm getting a late start) you have at least 52 pictures of yourself. I encourage all of you to do it. This can only be a good thing. Here's my first one.

We're trying to make funny faces but I was concentrating more on the camera. I think that this was our fifth try to fit me in and get it right. I'll have to work harder at honing my skills here.

Thanks Shannon and Amberly for the inspiration. Truly all should consider this. Even if you don't blog. Take more pictures of yourself!

  1. i'm the picture taker in my house, too. i recently decided that since no one wants to take pix of me, i'd do it on those good-hair days or when i'm feeling great. like today. i like my new 'do and the shirt i'm wearing, so as soon as i wash away last night's mascara rings, i'll get out the camera and continue perfecting the arm's length self-portrait.

  5. I totally agree. I take all the pics too, and as we go through pictures my kids say, "why aren't you in any of them mom?" So I have now been a lot better about telling my husband to take a turn, and also doing the self taking pics.....which turn out pretty funny sometimes. Good for you. As much as we hate pictures of ourselves, our kids need to remember that we were a big part of everything they did. BTW....cute picture!

  8. Have you ever heard of a tripod? or a timer? Try those and you'll be in 102 pictures. Good luck! Or wait until Charlie's 12 like Mason and buy him a camera, then you'll be in lots of pictures.

  9. if there is one thing i don't need it's more pictures of myself. once you get a macbook, photobooth opens up a whole world of vanity.

but you're pretty. and we all want to see your face more.

  14. This is a wonderful idea. You won't realize it now but when your kids get older they will love pictures of themselves with their parents, especially lone at a time.
