Walking!!!
It's official! Moe is finally walking more than crawling. She is accomplishing this great feat at 14 months. That is a month sooner than Charlie and a month after Jane. So I suppose she's right on target to be in our family. We love this munchkin and she has been showing a new and frightening temper. When frustrated Maggie will scream, hit herself over and over and then bite whatever is closest. Yes, she has gotten the kids and Mom and Dad before. Mike tends to think that this is highly entertaining and so occasionally he will taunt her, for a good laugh of course.
Today when I was holding Moe, I opened the fridge and immediately her little chubby hands went from "more" to "please" and back again. (sign language). So I fed her a second lunch because her panic was evident and oh so cute.

Anniversary
Yes, yet again we have forgotten our wedding anniversary. This is not a new thing for us. In fact we did it last year too. Don't get the wrong idea. We love each other very much. I just have a terrible memory and it's rubbing off on my husband. So three days after the fact, I realized that we had forgotten. I walked upstairs and said to Mike, "guess what we did again?" to which he quickly replied "oh, happy anniversary". I blurted it out with him and he was really proud of the fact that he said it first. Then came my reply, "honey it was three days ago". (We have a fun trip planned in November so we weren't totally ignoring our last ten years together.)
So this last weekend our niece Paige and her husband Mike watched our kids over night. Friday we went to help with the Stake Trek and then we went to hotel that night. WE SLEPT FOR TWELVE HOURS STRAIGHT. Isn't that the coolest thing ever? I woke up that next day and said, "can we do this once every quarter?" I can't even begin to tell you how good I feel. Totally refreshed. We spent Saturday shopping and then came home to happy kids. Thanks Paige and Mike.

Mike and I have been married ten years! I love him he is a kind husband and caring father. I really couldn't ask for more.

Irresistible Photo
This is my current favorite picture of both Charlie and Jane so it deserves it's own post.
This picture was taken in Utah on a little ride that sent them up high and then they bounced all of the way down. They were laughing so hard that I laughed a little too.

Rise and Shine
I've shown you how lucky I am to be able to wake up to the glory of Mike's hair every morning but I haven't shown you my other great reason to get out of bed.

She is smiling and jumping every morning when I go in her room.
It's totally worth it.
Le Tour
I am a Tour de France addict, have been for years. Yesterday was a disappointing day to watch and I can't get Lance's interview out of my head. He was interviewed right after the days race and you could see his disappointment and realization that he wouldn't be beating Contador this year. I had high hopes for him. Today I'm a little sad.

Blame it on Satan
Jane: "poo poo, pee pee, poop, pee, poopie, ha ha ha."
Charlie: "MOM, Jane is saying naughty words."
Mom: "I wonder who could have taught her those words? Hmmm."
Pause
Charlie: "Satan."

Happy Birthday Jane
We celebrated Jane's birthday at Aunt Leslie's house before coming home. Jane managed to get everything "princess". ( One of those things that I swore I'd never do before having a girl that loves being girlie.)
Charlie couldn't resist helping.
Moe loves chocolate.
Grandma made a great cake
Charlie is totally willing to be the "handsome prince" when playing with Jane. He'll figure out later that it's not such a good idea.
We love you Jane, Happy Birthday.

Mike is Coming
My husband comes today and I cannot begin to tell you how excited that I am. It has been a fun but hard three weeks and we are all looking forward to having Dad back with us. I pick him up today at 4:00. Wahoo!
