Sledding

Mike built a big sledding mountain with all of our excess snow in our backyard. The track was always more fun at night when the snow would turn hard and icy. Here are some pictures from last week. Charlie enjoyed the mound the most. He would march outside and put in a couple of runs, then come back in to do something else.

Look closely at the nice stair case. Jane braving it head first.

Crafting

Just a little something to do while the weather is freezing. They each had little boxes to paint and wow did we go through the paint. I didn't know it could be layered so thick. I kept trying to interrupt and fix it but they wouldn't have it. So after they went to bed I tried to smooth out the drips.

My Girls

Some children are afraid of the vacuum hose. Not Maggie. She loves it. I can't seem to finish my cleaning in a timely manner. She loves to suck up her cheeks, stomach, hair, fingers, etc.

This is an average day for Jane. She is really into layering and dressing herself. She will only wear skirts. ( I'm a jeans sort of girl myself so it's frustrating sometimes.) Oh and back to layering. She really layers. One day under her skirt and tights she was wearing three pairs of undies.

Yes, she really posed like that on purpose.

Irresistible to me. (Mags and the brownie)

Nothing to Blog About

This week I am just going to post pictures. I'm tired of winter and really don't feel like blogging but I know that our family checks this and wants more. So here's to a week of new pictures. I'm trying to capture the kids each day.

What is this you say? A new fabulous game that Charlie and Jane came up with on their own. They are on an airplane. They spent quite a long time packing their backpacks with snacks and books and activities. Then I made the final boarding call, took their pretend tickets and they sat in those chairs a really long time. I did manage to get a little more time out of them when I let them know that we were experiencing some turbulence so they needed to stay in their seats with their seat belts securely fastened.

The power of T.V.

Charlie: "Mom, we use our baking soda to make cookies but did you know that you can also use baking soda to make your fridge smell good? They even have baking soda toothpaste, to brush your teeth. "

A while ago I pulled out my "Neosporin to go" and Charlie said "Mom, that's not how you use it, first you have to flip it around your finger and then you point and spray" .

72 Hour Kit???

Bernie, Mike, Charlie and Jane. They are in the beginnings of a great fort.

Mike shoveled two times last night. The last one was at midnight and this is what we woke up to in the driveway.
Kimber, Jane, Charlie & Maggie.
It is still snowing and we are barely approaching 24 hours. We've been dumped on and we are loving it. Mike wanted to buy a snow blower a few days ago. Of course I said no. Lame, we are considered one of the southern states. We have mild winters. (that's what we've been told.) Maybe I should have let him. One of our neighbors bought one because of the impending snow. Smart move, we've all used it.

Here's our profile of Mike's car. We aren't going any where for a while.

Cheeks of Joy

This little girl is a lover and a fighter. She always wants to be snuggled and held. She is often dosing out hugs and loves, especially to Charlie and Jane. On the flip side she packs a mean punch. Not a hit, a full fist punch to the face, followed by really loud screaming. There seems to be no in-between with Maggie. Exhausting and delightful. I'm a sucker for the cheeks.
